There is No Death
By Manuela Tornow*

When watching disaster scenarios, which come in quite regularly these days through the media it´s good to remember there is no death. If you don´t believe that, then only because you haven´t opened yourself for this experience yet. If you´ve experienced yourself only once as independent of your body (and you don´t have to go as far as having a near death experience) - you never stick to your body as much as before. There is no death, but there is a belief in death.

Your nightmare essentially consists of you trying to make the idea of death real for you. The deeper psychological dynamic of your being in this world is the fact that you felt guilty and separate and the ego concluded you´d have to pay“ for this by losing your life. The ego is not your friend, and it doesn´t have any good intentions for you.

  • 74 Remember, then, that whenever you look without and react unfavorably to what you see, you have judged yourself unworthy and have condemned yourself to death. The death penalty is the ego's ultimate goal, for it fully believes that you are a criminal, as deserving of death as God knows you are deserving of life. The death penalty never leaves the ego's mind, for that is what it always reserves for you in the end. Wanting to kill you as the final expression of its feeling for you, it lets you live but to await death. It will torment you while you live, but its hatred is not satisfied until you die. For your destruction is the one end toward which it works, and the only end with which it will be satisfied.
  • 75 The ego is not a traitor to God to Whom treachery is impossible, but it is a traitor to you who believe you have been treacherous to your Father. That is why the undoing of guilt is an essential part of the Holy Spirit's teaching. For as long as you feel guilty, you are listening to the voice of the ego, which tells you that you have been treacherous to God and therefore deserve death. You will think that death comes from God and not from the ego because, by confusing yourself with the ego, you believe that you want death. And from what you want, God does not save you.“ (OrEd.Tx.11.VIII)

We don´t like to hear sentences like this, but we see them on TV and sense the ego reaching for us, fear and rage reaching for our heart. A while ago I had symptoms in my body that felt like I was dying. At first I wondered what I could do to prevent this from happening, then I just surrendered:  Ok. So I´m going to die now.“ The next thought was: “This is impossible, I can´t die!” And I realized that at most, it would be some kind of  transition.

When I woke up the next morning, I noticed I was glad and happy. It dawned on me, that I had believed the disaster pictures too much. Just for a second in the force of the onslaught of the illusions on my system I had forgotten: “There is no death. Gods Son is free.” The media pictures have become much less of a threat. On the other hand this doesn´t mean that the intensive impulses from the disasters don´t move me, but where they move me to has changed.

  • 80 Your kingdom is not of this world because it was given you from beyond this world. Only in this world is the idea of an authority problem meaningful. The world is not left by death but by truth, and truth can be known by all those for whom the Kingdom was created and for whom it waits.“ (OrEd.Tx.3.IX)
  • 61 When your body and your ego and your dreams are gone, you will know that you will last forever. Many think this is accomplished through death, but nothing is accomplished through death because death is nothing. Everything is accomplished through life, and life is of the mind and in the Mind.“ (OrEd.Tx.6Va)

If human beings would hear these messages, they could stop creating death scenarios for themselves as salvation attempts. Nothing is accomplished by death. We are saved by the Truth, the Light and the Forgiveness in our minds.
